Malcolm Clark lives in Victoria with his wife and two sons. He has practiced and taught Tai Chi and Chi Gong for 10 years, and he also runs a practice of healing energy and bodywork at his local Victoria studio.
Traditionally, tai chi was used to train the mind and body for martial combat. Today people often use tai chi to balance the exchange between the energy and weight of the body. Malcolm’s goal is to bring awareness to the individuals structural imbalances through body movement. He discovers where tension resides in the body by warming up the senses within. Experimenting with body movement opens pathways of understanding and an expanded field of possibility in the moving body. Some of the techniques used include physical listening, following, spiraling, and falling into space.
With his fresh, playful approach to traditional teachings, Malcolm will guide you through a full-range exploration of body movement and breath work. His aim is to engage from a centered place with a playful spirit.
